Delete your account – Comic Book Studio

This page explains how to delete your account in the Comic Book Studio app and the data that goes with it. The app is published by EVL PPY SRL ("EVL Apps"), Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Contact: mobile@evlppy.com.

1. Delete your account in the app

Open Comic Book Studio and go to Settings → Account.
Under Danger zone, tap Delete account, then Continue. If you signed in with email, Google or Apple, confirm it's you.
Tap Delete account to confirm.

For 7 days your account is locked and you can restore it by opening the app (or signing in again) and tapping Restore account. After those 7 days it is permanently deleted, usually within a day. If you don't want to wait, tap Delete now on the same screen.

This works whether or not you created an account with an email, Google or Apple sign-in.

2. Ask us to delete your account by email

If you can't use the app (for example you no longer have it installed), send an email to mobile@evlppy.com with the subject "Delete my Comic Book Studio account".

So we can make sure the request comes from the account's owner, please:

send it from the email address you use to sign in to Comic Book Studio (for Google or Apple sign-in: the email of that Google or Apple account), or
include your Support ID, found in the app under Settings → Support ID → Copy.

If we can't confirm the request comes from you, we will reply and ask you to confirm it from the account's email address.

We delete accounts requested by email within 30 days and confirm by email when it's done.

3. What we delete

Your account and its sign-in (email and password, or your Google or Apple sign-in)
Your profile, including your email address; your username is released
Photos you uploaded, your characters and your comics, with all their images
Your credits and their history
Your push notification token, and your email address from our mailing list
Any other accounts you merged into this one

4. What we keep, and for how long

A minimal record for your device that only notes it already used its free offer, so the free offer can't be claimed again by deleting and re-creating the account. It contains no name, email, photos or comics, and is kept for as long as Comic Book Studio is available.
Records of your purchases and subscriptions held by Google Play, the App Store and our payment provider RevenueCat, kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Anonymous statistics (for example how many comics were made), with nothing that links them back to you.
Analytics and crash data, kept according to the retention settings of the services listed in our Privacy Policy.

Your purchases and subscriptions are handled by Google Play or the App Store. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription: cancel it in Google Play or the App Store first.

Deleting the app from your phone does not delete your account.

5. Delete some of your data without deleting your account

You can delete single comics and characters inside the app at any time. Deleted comics stay in "Recently deleted" for 7 days so you can restore them, and are then permanently deleted. For any other request about your data, write to mobile@evlppy.com.
